1. Purpose

Builders are the driving force behind discovering and validating new use cases for Livepeer, yet today the ecosystem lacks a structured approach to supporting them. Developers and founders face fragmented access to funding, no dedicated support, and limited visibility into how their efforts connect to Livepeer’s broader go-to-market strategy. Without a clear overview, opportunities are missed, and promising projects struggle to mature into impactful initiatives that expand Livepeer’s adoption and utility.

By creating a dedicated builder-focused workstream, the ecosystem can introduce structure, coordination, and targeted and suitable funding mechanisms, which provide better value capture mechanisms (equity / token agreements) for the broader ecosystem. This ensures that projects are not only supported in their early stages but are also equipped to scale, capture value, and align with the network’s strategic goals. Ultimately, this workstream strengthens Livepeer’s ability to transform developer activity into sustainable, high-value outcomes that grow the ecosystem.

2. Outcome

Developers integrating with Livepeer have a clear onboarding flow with clear documentation, tutorials and support. There will be someone dedicated to onboarding demand and navigating any current complexities building on gateways (such as Daydream, Streamplace, Frameworks). There will also be a funding mechanism for microgrants or small-scale integrations.

New use cases will have been possible via new larger partnerships (e.g. Base, Zora, Eliza), with a pipeline of potential partners and integrations. Gateways and platforms built on the network will have a structure to support and accelerate demand. Requirements will have been gathered and a pipeline of potential partnerships.

3. Requirements

Creating a new ecosystem development team focused on onboarding & supporting new builders.
Launch a knowledge hub or improve documentation on the website for easy onboarding and technical support.
Launch several key integrations with leading adjacent projects (e.g. Base, Zora, Eliza). within the GTM bets (e.g. open social or agent frameworks)
Seed the ecosystem with pre-packaged grant ideas and potential startups in video & real-time AI.
Activate and connect with an IRL builder community during a major activation at ETH Devconnect.
Scope a funding mechanism to scale and accelerate promising projects with large ambitions.
